Kiawah Island Naturalist Group


The Kiawah Island Naturalist Group gathers to enjoy the natural and cultural worlds of Kiawah and beyond.
We meet monthly, usually on Thursdays, from September through May.

Thursday February 22nd Bears Bluff National Fish Hatchery Tour (Wadmalaw) Morning.

Saturday March 17th Informal Come and Kayak (St. Patrick’s Day Paddle) – Time TBD.

Thursday April 12th Charles River Labs (Horseshoe Crabs) - Charleston – 9 am.

Monday April 16th Informal Come and Kayak (Tax Day Paddle) – Time TBD.

Thursday April 26th Wadmalaw Bike Hike – 10 am.

Thursday May 10th Guided Kayak Tour (Penny Creek to the Edisto) – ACE Basin 11:30 am.


KING members have shown considerable interest in astronomy.
The Lowcountry Stargazers are having a public event at Mullet Hall Dec 9th, 2017, 5-9PM.

They are at Brittlebank Park in downtown Charleston most Wednesday evenings. Public invited
