Beach Chairs
Please hose them down before returning them to the garage.
Driving
Do not exceed 35 mph anywhere on the island! You'll get busted.
Fishing equipment
Hose off after use and
replace on garage hangers to properly dry. Advise of any damaged or lost gear so I can bring
tools or replacements down. Do not use light rods in the surf.
Garage door
Keep closed. Garage is dehumidified. Rust and mildew are evil.
HVAC
When leaving from your stay, set both thermostats to 60 HEAT in
autumn/winter and to 78 COOL in spring/summer.
Jeep
Do not drive Jeep on beach as there is a season and a permit is required. When using Jeep to go
to the beach, you may
place chairs on hood but use a beach towel to protect his paint and bungees to
secure them. Do not leave Jeep parked outside the home unless the
top is up because of shedding trees. Lightly hose
him down after use. I'd appreciate it if you'd also squirt underneath him to
wash off salt. Please fill tank and check oil upon leaving. Gas is 87
unleaded, oil is 10W30. Please secure fishing rods in bumper holders with
bungees from one of the storage boxes in the rear. Sometimes when you
remove the key, the electrical system does not shut down. You'll hear 3
double tones when it does. If you don't hear that, just move the key receptor and
you'll hear the tones shortly thereafter.
Lagoon
1.
Do not swim in the lagoon. 2. You may fish. 3. Do
not feed alligators (see 1.)
Lighting
Do not turn main entry hallway light off at the fixture! It and the landscaping lights are
timed. If you you want to turn on/off either, the computer-controlled
switches are labeled in the main entry hall. Normal operation will resume
next day.
Master suite
If the fridge is not plugged in, you may do so.
Media Center
Please use our hotspot or connect directly to the router to surf and check email on your own machine. Do not use the media center computer for any
other purpose. Do not adjust the Sherwood amplifier volume. It should be
around 30. Use the media center Sound Button to adjust overall volume and
use the box with the 4 volume controls to adjust or turn music on or off in
the 4 controlled areas.
When Leaving
(Family) replace any consumable products, wash and clean the linens, put clean sheets on
the beds and vacuum/clean the house. Put recyclables in blue tray in same
location and take to the dumpsters behind west fire station across the
street. Map Cross Kiawah Island Parkway and take
the 3rd left off Sora Rail Rd.
(All guests) Put trash in can outside against front
deck. Put recyclables in blue tray in same location. Unplug and dump any
water and ice from master suite fridge if you used it. Make sure
media center computer is on and monitor is off. |
